Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly diverse and talented Marketing and Brand Manager to take charge and shape the direction of Avenue HQ as we expand throughout the UK. The role will require a strong knowledge of the full marketing sector and the ability to manage and outsource where necessary to deliver a high quality voice consistent with our brand ideologies and commercial focuses. Strategy will be at the forefront of your thinking but Avenue HQ’s community ethos will remain truly at the heart. You will need to be as comfortable within a one on one client introduction  as you are delivering self managed quality output from behind a computer screen. You will be the face of the business in many ways, especially in new cities and must stay reactive and ahead of the market curve in terms of technology and building valuable relationships within the sector.

  • Objective  - not to be precious with ideas, taking into account what’s being created, and for whom it's being created for


  • Support the organisation's growth through the development and implementation of company-wide,  and localised, outreach marketing and brand image strategy in collaboration with Head Office and local community teams

  • Drive business growth through brand awareness as AHQ looks to move into new cities across the UK

  • Propose and take ownership of marketing targets -  as agreed with the wider head office team

  • Communicate regular updates to the local community and head office teams regarding marketing objectives and progress

  • Take the lead, and guide local teams, operating across digital marketing channels: SEO, PPC, Affiliates, Content Marketing, Organic & Paid Social

  • Manage the marketing, PR and sales budgets for each AHQ site and relevant subsidiary businesses

  • Produce monthly reports on all aspects of the promotion of Avenue HQ, as well as closely monitoring and reporting how budgets/strategies/campaigns relate to eventual sales (ROI)

  • Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of all marketing execution across sites; be that working in-house, with agencies or with outsourced talent - hold them accountable for contractual deliverables in-terms of quality and on-brand standards

  • Drive local sales by training and developing community associates (Marketing & Outreach) to grow lead generation and sales through marketing techniques and to guide them along with Community Managers in matters relating to to marketing/brand specific activity

  • Ensure all staff adhere to tone-of-voice guidelines and any content produced is in-fitting with company brand - sign off good content/reject and amend poor as well as leading local teams in content capture of events to be able to use across different platforms

  • Head-up AHQ’s visual identity to ensure all internal, member and external communications remain on-brand visually and verbally

  • Sign-off all marketing content (brand, visual, messaging) as per set brand guidelines for public, internal and member distribution

  • Be the Avenue HQ brand ambassador and representative at events and meetings, exploring potential PR and commercial opportunities

  • Refresh, update and develop the company websites: content, visuals, functionality etc.

  • Take lead on the production and aesthetic of all print material

  • Develop a company-wide video strategy

  • Head-up award nominations in order to grow national image
