Although Value Propositions and Business Models sound like things you study in business school, they're in fact essential real-world tools to help entrepreneurs create a proper business that is built for growth. Put simply, your Business Model is a straightforward description of how you intend to make money and your Value Proposition is the key reason why your users (or customers, audience, subscribers: however you want to describe them) would use - and pay for - your product.
